Community Outreach

Community Outreach

Community outreach programs at MSB help us identify specific needs within the larger community and address these using a focused, need-based approach. Such services give students the opportunity to become responsible citizens and leave a lasting impact on society. Not only do they get to benefit others, they also learn life-skills and garner invaluable experience.

Mohammed bin Rashid Global
Initiatives (MBRGI)

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced 2019 as the Year of Tolerance and also introduced the MBRGI. These initiatives have changed many people’s lives, whether rich or poor.

In order to support these goals, the students of Year 8 decided to run the #our country, our pride, our future campaign. They made exciting posters, conducted workshops and planned assemblies – spreading facts about MBRGI and the contribution of UAE towards underdeveloped countries. They also collected funds by running game stalls at the MSB Carnival. MSB expresses heartfelt solidarity towards this noble cause.

Lakum Initiative

The Lakum (For You) Initiative is a charity program launched by the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA). It aims at providing useful and educational gifts tonunderprivileged children throughout the world, donated by school children within the United Arab Emirates.

Walkathon (World Food Day)

MSB incorporates school-wide programs on October 16, so that students recognise the value of food and become aware about the hunger and nourishment issues that the world faces today. It is celebrated as a No Pens day. We also organise a Walkathon to provide school meals to underprivileged children and donate our collections to Open Arms (Red Crescent). Workshops with parents are held to discuss pertinent topics such as zero hunger and development of sustainable goals.
